ST150 series

The ST150 Series sets a new standard in performance and versatility for turbine starters. Powered by an efficient 47 HP turbine motor that requires no external lubrication, this starter is built for long-lasting, maintenance-free operation. Its design incorporates the proven front end of the 150BM Series and retains identical inlet and outlet locations, ensuring easy replacement and compatibility.

With sealed, oil-lubricated planetary gears, the ST150 delivers reliable, maintenance-free performance in even the most demanding environments. Its robust construction makes it suitable for both gas and air applications, while offering the flexibility of inertia or pre-engaged models, left- or right-hand rotation, and multiple configurations with 4 inlet, 4 exhaust, and 16 drive housing orientations. Operating across a wide pressure range of 30 to 150 psi (2.1 to 10.3 bar), the ST150 Series is engineered for maximum adaptability and dependable starts every time.

Durability
Engineered for endurance, the ST150 features rugged planetary gearing for extended crank cycles. Its patented high-speed rotor is fully supported to minimize deflection and maintain concentric rotation, significantly increasing bearing life and outperforming conventional cantilever-style designs.

Equipped with a 47 HP solid aluminum turbine motor, the ST150 delivers rapid starts for heavy-duty diesel and gas engines ranging from 11 to 90 liters. Its outstanding efficiency translates to faster startups, lower emissions, and reduced operating costs.

Reliability
Built from a single piece of solid billet aluminum, the turbine motor includes robust fins and nozzles, along with a direct, single-stage open flow path—ideal for reliable operation in the toughest environments.

Serviceability
The patented slip-fit turbine motor design uses half the components of standard models, making it quick and easy to service. The rotor can be removed and converted from low-pressure to high-pressure operation in just minutes.
